If you just moved to Lake Nona with a dog in tow, here's the short version: you've got a mix of boutique groomers, pet-store grooming counters, and in-home/mobile options spread across Narcoossee Corridor, Eagle Creek, and Moss Park. None of it is hard to find, but a little local knowledge saves you a wasted trip and a stressed-out dog.
What grooming looks like in Lake Nona right now
This is still a growing area, so the grooming scene isn't huge, but it covers the basics well. You'll find full-service grooming salons attached to pet boutiques, grooming counters inside big-box pet stores, and independent operators who come to you. Most newcomers end up choosing based on three things: how fast they can get an appointment, whether the groomer knows their breed's coat, and whether the place feels calm when you walk in.
Book-ahead is the norm here, especially for double-coated breeds or anything needing a specific cut. Walk-in grooming basically doesn't exist for dogs — plan on scheduling a few days to a couple weeks out, longer around holidays.
Where to start looking
Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Lake Nona in Eagle Creek is the one most people land on first. It's a national franchise with a strong local footprint — 370 reviews and a 4.4 rating is a real sample size, not a handful of friends leaving five stars. It combines a retail bakery/boutique with a grooming salon, which is handy if you want to pick up food or treats while your dog is getting a bath and trim. For a newcomer, this is a safe, well-tested first call.
EarthWise Pet Nutrition Center & Wellness Spa in Moss Park is the other established option, with 204 reviews and a 4.7 rating — the highest rating of any grooming-adjacent business in the area with real review volume behind it. It's built around a nutrition-and-wellness angle, so if you're also sorting out food, supplements, or a new vet-adjacent routine for your pet, this is worth a visit alongside the grooming.
Both are solid picks if you want predictability: known hours, known pricing structure, and staff used to handling a steady stream of local dogs.
The pet-store option
PetSmart on Narcoossee has a dedicated grooming counter, PetSmart Grooming, which is convenient if you're already shopping there for food or supplies. Worth knowing before you book: the grooming counter's own rating sits much lower (2.9 from 14 reviews) than the store's overall rating (4.1 from 572 reviews). That gap matters. The store itself is fine for retail; the grooming service specifically has a smaller, more mixed track record locally. If you go this route, it's worth asking which groomer you'll get and starting with something low-stakes like a bath or nail trim before committing to a full cut.
If your dog needs more than a trim
Not every pet need in Lake Nona is about haircuts. If you're also looking for boarding, daycare, or someone to handle your dog while you're at work or traveling, Barknona Dog Hotel in the Narcoossee Corridor covers that lane, with a 4.6 rating across 186 reviews. And if you'd rather skip the car ride and salon environment altogether, Mandi Poppins Pet Care, also in Narcoossee Corridor, is an in-home/mobile pet care option with a strong 4.9 rating — smaller review count at 70, but a near-perfect score. For nervous dogs, seniors, or anyone who just prefers one-on-one attention at home, this is worth a look before you default to a salon.

A few newcomer tips
Call ahead rather than relying on online booking widgets — many local groomers confirm breed, coat condition, and temperament over the phone before locking in a slot. Bring vaccination records to your first appointment; most groomers ask for proof, especially rabies and bordetella. And if your dog has mats, matted fur, or skin issues, mention it when booking, not when you walk in — it can change the price and the time needed.
